The hotel

Hotel Grępielnia was created in a former carding mill, the Hähnel, Mänhardt & Comp. factory founded in 1860, one of the first spinning mills to process wool with carding combs. The hotel takes its name from this carding work.

In 1878 the owners built the distinctive neo-Renaissance factory hall on today's ul. Partyzantów, together with twin villas for Adolf Mänhardt and Ferdynand Hähnel.
